Is  based in Mae Haad near the Songserm Pier, Our office with its central location makes it easy for customers leaving the island to view and purchase their dive video souvenir's before departure.   It's also very close to the Beach, Bars and several Popular Restaurants, easy access for an after edit beer at sunset.

Using the latest Apple Macintosh Computers with a Mac network, large storage space on or hard drives , file exchange and distribution is made simple and easy even between PC user's.  Combined with Final Cut Pro Studio or Adobe Premier, trainees gain knowledge of incredibly powerful and user-friendly editing suites, which are used throughout the film and Broadcast industries.   Our preference leans towards Final Cut Pro because it's more widely used, which we have been using for the last 12 years.  The office editing suite has Air-conditioning, Camera Servicing Equipment Room, bright, a beach view, Free Wifi Internet, free coffee or Tea and has several Bungalow Beach Resorts close by where are trainees can stay for very reasonable rates.

At Liquid Media we believe that in this day and age,  trainees should be not just masters of the Camera, but  should also right from the beginning get to grips with  computer editing.  And this is evident by just watching our  daily videos; solid camera skills and a good working  knowledge of post-production go hand in hand together and  should be contained within the same course and not split  just to make more money from you.

Sony HC9 High Definition Cameras with Gates Housings.

The Gates HC9 Housing with a big viewfinder window making the Camera LCD easy to see, even from wide viewing angles.  The Housing is small and compact, perfect for the fast pace which is need to film our daily resort videos, yet produces Big HD images.  Combined with Gates Premium line of distortion-free Ports provides the clearest, sharpest images for all projects including Promotional videos.  With full access to Manual Controls including White Balance, Tele Macro, Exposure, Shutter Speed and AE Shift, customers are always amazed when they see just how clear and colourful their videos turn out.

Sony HC3 High Definition Cameras with Gates or Light & Motion Housings.

The Sony HC3 is a compact HDV camera again combined with a Gates housing is your diminutive dive buddy packing into small spaces yet delivering High definition results.  Gates a Brand that is known for its Reliability and durability is extremely popular with many Underwater videography companies and during the Underwater Videographer course trainees will gain the experience necessary to service these housings by themselves unassisted.

Sony HC3 and Light & Motion’s Bluefin Housing, also offering easy access to the all important manual White Balance control, is light, positively buoyant and really easy to use.  Partly Manual and electronic, so it does require batteries and specialist servicing.

Green Force HID Squid Lights.

Long Known in Europe as a sturdy and flexible lighting system, long burn times, aluminum light head construction and nearly indestructible bulbs.  Perfect for Night Dive videos and incredible for filming critters hiding in small cracks resulting in true colour with no nasty video noise or banding.  Liquid Media is the only production company on Koh Tao where you can experience and learn about lighting.

Ports or Lenses, The Best Camera in the world can’t make up for poor optics.

Fathom Wide-angle ports costing more then some of the competition video housings are constructed of an aluminum shell and coated glass elements that provide the sharpest, clearest underwater images possible.  Field of view is approximately 70 to 90 degrees depending on the camera port combination.  Designed specifically for underwater use, free from distortion and are very high resolution and ideal for underwater TV productions.

Flat Ports, these ports contain a single, flat, uncorrected element.  The field of view becomes narrowed underwater, subject to the same refraction as a diver looking through a mask.  Flat Ports allow full camera zoom and diopters maybe used to increase the magnification of a small or macro subject.
