Trouble in Paradise

We've had some extreme weather with very heavy rain causing floods and damage around the island.  This is freak weather for this time of year and has caught us all by surprise, some tourists were stranded on the island due to high waves and the Royal Thai Navy was called upon to evacuate these people who needed to catch flights.  The event was covered by several News agencies, to be honest was also blown out of proportion and portrayed Koh Tao as a disaster zone which is very far from the truth.

The clean up doesn't take long and we're back to normal in no time!

As the rains stopped repairs started and within a couple of days the island was cleaned up and restored to its Paradise status, the visibility in the water is improving too and it's still the best time of year for Whale Shark encounters, so don't waste time and don't change your travel plans, we're still here and it's business as usual, you'll be greeted with a big smile.
